Monday, December 14, 2009 at 05:57AM Dr. Mark and Liz Harris visiting from the Isle of Man, Great Britain had some really good fishing this last week from BudnMarys. Fishing with Nick Stancyk on the B&M they released 3 sailfish. On Friday we went out into the backcountry hoping for a cobia. The wind was up from the northeast but we managed to fish the spot we wanted. No cobia but Liz caught a couple big blacktip sharks and Mark released a fine snook and a goliath grouper. Earlier on the way out passing through a channel I had seen a couple freejumping tarpon. It is not really the time of year but the water temps were 76 degrees. We fished that channel for 2 hours and Mark and Liz each caught and released Tarpon of 100lbs on Fox spinning rods. way to go. We tried to get Mark a backcountry slam but no redfish this time. great trip.
