Bud & Mary's regulars Fred & Marie Moore,along with their son Ben from Wales, braved the weather yesterday on 1-12-11 & crossed the bay with Capt Jim Willcox. They still had a great day of florida keys fishing. They caught a mix of redfish , black drum & sheepshead. The cold weather in islamorada hasn't affected the bite of drum apparently!!!
Friday, January 7, 2011 at 09:18AM Capt. Rick Stanczyk had a great day in the everglades on 1/6/11! He went for a day of fun fishing with his girlfriend and mother, Elizabeth and Ginger Baxter, and good friend Jonathen Ness. They fished way back around the mainland of florida and the cape in the morning. Great bite of redfish the first spot they stopped, and a handful of decent size black drum! They ran up in a few winding creeks and caught a few more, along with some trout and ladyfish. Ended the day running around the gulf side back towards home, the water was real dirty with the west wind blowing so we didn't see much around the usual spots where you may find a cobia or triple tail lurking. We did fish a few runoffs closer to home and caught some more trout and ladyfish, and a few larger reds one of the islands on pinfish! All in all probably caught 30 drum altogether! Great day of Florida Keys Fishing!

Galen Edie & his family(Galen,Nick, Chris & Sean) Bud & Mary's Florida Keys Fishing regulars for 20 years,rung in the new year fishing with Capt Jim Willcox & Ken Cohan on Dec 31st & Jan 1st. Day one was filled with plenty of trout & a full limit of snappers for all 5 anglers. Day two the boats split up & fished two different areas. Both boats caught double digit redfish,black drum,sheepshead,& large trout. Shrimp was the main bait of choice back here with the water still being somewhat cool! The weather was beautiful & there were no other boats around. The pics are of Sean with a nice black drum, Dad with a big trout, a close encounter with a crocodile, & a sneak preview of a new dam under construction. Great way to spend a day fishing in Islamorada!
Sunday, December 26, 2010 at 12:33PM Capt. Perry Scuderi reported fishing xmas eve back around the flamingo area of the everglades. Winds were 15-20mph, northeast, though nice blue sky but a little bumpy. Fishing shrimp on liht tackle, they caught redfish, black drum, sheepshead, and trout. Saw lots of wild bird life, and porpoises!
