Sailfish aboard the Relentless

Some sailfish are starting to show up which is good to see!  Ryan Hamlin and crew fished with the Relentless and they worked hard to produce.  Here's a picture of a nice sail they got!

11/3,4

Morris Palmer and his good friend Richard Urrutia from north Florida had a couple great days of fishing. The first day was slick calm and we fished backcountry. Richard caught a "backcountry slam" consisting of redfish, tarpon, snook and trout releases. We caught tripletail, snook, goliath groupers, sharks, tarpon ect. How can you go wrong when the weather and fish cooperate.

Next day was really windy from the north east and while looking for live pilchards we came across a huge school of migrating mullet. Well we them to good use, heading down to channel 2 and 5 bridges. Morris and Richard released 6 tarpon and had all kinds of action. The tarpon fishing can really be good on an incoming tide this time of year with the mullet migrating down the beach.

11/2 and 11/6

Hugh Laumeister and brother Bruce fished with me a couple days this past week. The first day was slick calm and we fished the outer reef patches. Plenty of nice mangrove snapper and cero mackerel about.

The second day was windy from the northeast. We were able to find some small pichards for live bait and we fished sheltered mangrove creeks. Fishing for snook was on. We released  a bunch of snook, crevalle jack, 1 tarpon,1 redfish and a small cubera snapper.

With the summer like weather and calm winds fishing continues to be RED HOT.

Wendy and Tom Sims fished with me yesterday over by Cape Sable. Wendy released 2 tarpon and 6 snook. And Tom released 5 snook and kept a keeper for dinner. We finished up with limits of mangrove snapper and releasing lots of trout, ladyfish and jacks. Action packed day. For more information on the fishing you can email me at skipcyd@bellsouth.net
