Hugh Laumeister and brother Bruce fished with me a couple days this past week. The first day was slick calm and we fished the outer reef patches. Plenty of nice mangrove snapper and cero mackerel about.

The second day was windy from the northeast. We were able to find some small pichards for live bait and we fished sheltered mangrove creeks. Fishing for snook was on. We released  a bunch of snook, crevalle jack, 1 tarpon,1 redfish and a small cubera snapper.

Mark Savoy from Pennsylvania wanted to catch some big fish . We started out fishing with live pilchards around an island moat. Mark released 7 snook then caught a large lemon shark. We then moved to First National Bank and loaded up on crevalle jacks. We turned a couple of those into shark baits and hooked up with numerous 60lbs and up Spinner sharks. Lots of spinning and jumping. These are really an exciting shark to catch just to watch the incredible jumps. To finish up we hit a wreck not to far out in the gulf and Mark caught and released a few goliath grouper up to 100lbs. A great fishing day for Mark.
