Bud N' Mary's Fishing Marina is located in Islamorada, Florida, The Sportfishing Capital of The World!  It was established in 1944, and over the years has been one of the most famous sportfishing destinations in the world!  It is home to over 40 of the finest offshore captains and backcountry guides.  We also have a spectacular party fishing boat, the Miss Islamorada.  There is also a great dive shop, boat rentals, motel, boat storage, transient dockage, and tackle store.  We will be posting fishing related events, catches, media publications, and overall news concerning Bud N' Mary's here, so keep tuned in!  You can contact Bud N' Mary's at

The Captain's Log

Greetings to all!  Things are picking up a little bit as we get closer to our season down here.  Most of the charter boats are finishing up there maintenance and starting to fish again here and there.  Some sailfish and kingfish have been showing up off the edge of the reef, and some good snapper, grouper, and mutton fishing is going on too.  There's been some good snook action in the everglades park as well as some redfish, trout, and some smaller tarpon.  Bonefishing nearby has been decent too.  Lots of action to be had, let's go fishing!  305-664-2461

Jim Willcox wins Top Inshore Guide Award for 2nd time in 3 years.

Captain Jim Willcox has won the Top Inshore Guide Award for the 2nd time in 3 years, in the prestigeous Keymorada Fly-Spin Tournament.He competed against 37 other guides. In five years this tournament has raised over 1.6 million dollars with all proceeds going tobenefit the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation of America.It is a(2 day)20lb test tournament for Bonefish, Permit, Snook, Redfish, Tarpon & Sharks over 70 lbs.In two days Jim's anglers caught 5 permit, 2 Tarpon, 1 Redfish, & 10 Sharksup to 200 lbs.

Sawfish in the backcountry!

Capt. Jim Willcox along with some other guides here have caught sawfish a few days this past week.  These creatures are pretty amazing and have been making a comeback after being nearly extinct!  Jim's customers caught this 500 lber and got this great shot of it attacking the boat with its saw!!
