Morris Palmer and his good friend Richard Urrutia from north Florida had a couple great days of fishing. The first day was slick calm and we fished backcountry. Richard caught a "backcountry slam" consisting of redfish, tarpon, snook and trout releases. We caught tripletail, snook, goliath groupers, sharks, tarpon ect. How can you go wrong when the weather and fish cooperate.
Next day was really windy from the north east and while looking for live pilchards we came across a huge school of migrating mullet. Well we them to good use, heading down to channel 2 and 5 bridges. Morris and Richard released 6 tarpon and had all kinds of action. The tarpon fishing can really be good on an incoming tide this time of year with the mullet migrating down the beach.
