Tarpon fishing continues to be ON in the backcountry of Florida Bay. I had 11 year old Cowan Rodgers along with grandparents Julie and Roddy out and they released 5 tarpon. Cowan caught his first tarpon of 100lbs and a nice Hammerhead shark. Also caught were 2 very large Sawfish and plenty of big sharks.

On Sunday August 8th I took Nick Charak out to the backcountry in search of Tarpon and he caught and released 3 and Jumped a couple more off. Nick caught his tarpon using light tackle with 15lb Horizon braid.
