1/13/11 - Cold north wind, but some nice snappers!
Capt. Rick Stanczyk fished a half day this morning with the Zarecki's, south florida natives visiting the keys! We left a little later in the morning since we had a cold front hit us last night. The wind was howling out of the north, very muddy and choppy in the bay. We left around 9:30 and made our way back. Some of the areas where I'd been catching trout and redfish were extremely muddy due to the wind, we tried for a few spots but no luck, so we headed back on the edge of the gulf and hit a little mangrove snapper hole. It was loaded up with nice snapper, hadn't been there since last winter, but great to see! Caught our limit very quickly, a few nice ones close to 13 inches!
