The Swords are back! 3 Broadbills for the BNM 7-13-11

We hadn't been out on a daytime swordfishing charter since early July, where we caught and released 1 small fish on a three trip stretch, but yesterday the bite was on! We brought Capt. Vinnie Biondoletti, who's been a backcountry guide at Bud N Mary's for 25 years, to try to get him his first sword. Luck was finally on his side. On the first drop we hooked up, and after a grueling 2 hour battle, Capt. Vinnie brought his first ever sword to the boat. It was a chunky 280 lber! He said it fought a little harder than sea trout.. hahaha!  A few hours later our friend Ron got in the chair and caught his biggest sword ever, a 110 lber! With the day almost over we made one more drop and managed to catch a 3rd swordfish. It was a 135 lber! We also had 15 schoolie size mahi from 3 to 6 lbs. It was a beautiful day for some Florida Keys Fishing
