Swordfish, Mahi, and More! Offshore Florida Keys Fishing Report!

This is a report from the last week of offshore fishing here at Bud N Mary's Marina in Islamorada, FL Keys. The dolphin (Mahi-Mahi) fishing was very good early in the week, we had a few nice up to 25 lbs each trip, as well as some schoolies and gaffers (3 to 12 lbers). We swordfished 3 trips and caught fish on two of them. We called it quits early today because of all the lightning and thunderstorms around. Bill Classon from Sportfishing Australia caught his first daytime sword at 178 lbs. We also had Benno from Denmark catch his biggest fish ever and first sword of his life. It was a 140 lb swordfish. He also caught a 13# tripletail! Paula had her family out with her for some Florida Keys fishing and both her kids and father caught dolphin to 20 lbs and a summer time cobia that weighed 27 lbs! Not a bad family fishing trip.
