Daytime Tarpon fishing in the Backcountry lights up this past week

captain skip nielsen fished the crew from www.foxsportfishing.com this past week. They have developed a line of travel rods and new spinning reels and fished 6 days in a row. We fished for tarpon from Flamingo to Cape Sable.  Cliff Fox his wife Cathy and Andy Little and Adam Taylor released 30 Tarpon in the 6 days of fishing and many sharks. The size of the Tarpon ranged from 20 to 115 lbs. All the fish were taken using live mullet, pinfish and pilchards. Also caught during the weeks fishing were a number of snook. A great week of fishing.Skip guided the crew aboard their boat Foxy Lady which they store in the barn at BudnMarys Marina. It is a 22' bay boat that Skip uses for parties of 3 or more.

Everybody had a great time catching and releasing Tarpon. for further details email capt. skip at skipcyd@bellsouth.net
