11-15-12 Islamorada Deep Sea Fishing in Mid November
It's been very active the last few days while offshore fishing in Islamorada. Today on the Reef there was a good bite of sailfish for a lot of boats! Most of the fish were up shallow and the boats were sight fishing them. The Relentless released 9 sailfish today and had 30 snapper for dinner, the Kalex released 6 sailfish and had 15 mahi for dinner (which is a nice surprise since there hasn't been many lately), The Reel McCoy released 4 sails and had a blackfin tuna, the Gon Fishin V released 3 sails and had a mutton snapper. The BnM went Daytime Swordfishing and made one drop and caught a beatiful 194 lber first thing in the morning and called it an early day. Yesterday the Reel McCoy had 2 sailfish releases and both the Kalex and Relentless had 1 as well as some bottom fish. A couple days ago on the BNM we had a nice black grouper, blackfin tuna, mahi and some other reef dwellers too. The sails have definitely moved in so that will be a prime target the upcoming months.
