3/23-24/12 Deep Sea Fishing Report off Islamorada
The wind finally let up the last two days making for some great Offshore Islamorada Fishing Trips. The Reef has been very productive with most of the boats catching plenty of Yellowtail Snapper. They are one of the tastiest fish down here. The Relentless also released a sailfish yesterday, as well the as the Reel McCoy releasing 2 today and the Kalex one. There's also been a few cobia around and Capt. George caught these 3 nice ones up to 35 lbs yesterday. The Sugaree had a great catch yesterday with 30 yellowtail snapper to 3 lbs, a 14 lb mutton snapper, a 30 lb kingfish, and then 3 amberjacks to 40 lbs. Today on the BNM we went offshore and found that one "magical" piece of debris and caught a dozen and a half dolpin from 4 to 10 lbs on it and a couple small wahoo. Then we hit the "hump" and caught a few small blackfin tuna and a pair of amberjacks to 55 lbs. We decided to call it a day and started heading home with the high speed lure out, and we caught another wahoo that weighed 25 lbs out of the blue. The Strictly Business had their limit of nice yellowtails today, 60 fish to 3 lbs! The dolphin (mahi) are just starting to show up, a few boats catch some and a few boats don't, so hopefully they keep getting more consistent the next few weeks. The Redfish had a nice catch with 10 dolphin yesterday including 6 between 10 and 20 lbs, as well as some small blackfin tuna. Book your Florida Keys Fishing Charter now!
