Islamorada Early April Deep Sea Fishing Report
The mixed bag has continued into April on the oceanside with the Deep Sea Fishing Charters. Boats have been going both offshore as well as staying on the edge of the Reef. There was a small push of sailfish the last couple days which was nice to see since they'd been a little scarce. Both the BNM and Reel McCoy released one sailfish yesterday and the Kalex had 3 releases. Offshore the the Catch 22 had a nice rack of blackfin tuna as well as a big amberjack. The BNM and Relentless also had blackfin tuna and ambjeracks. Today the Kalex released 3 sailfish again and the Reel McCoy 2. On the BNM we focused on the offshore fishing and got real lucky when we found the "magical" piece of debris with lots of fish on it. We wound up catch 25 mahi to 14 lbs, 3 wahoo to 12 lbs, 15 "football" blackfin tuna, and a couple big almaco jacks approaching 35 lbs. The Miss Islamorada had an incredible catch of yellowtail snapper, limiting out with 200 snapper by 2:30 p.m. Book your Florida Keys Party Boat Fishing with us too!.
