2-3-13 Offshore Islamorada Fishing in February
We've had a handful of boats out each of the past few days for our Islamorada Fishing Charters in February. The fishing hasn't been easy by any means, but since we have many of the Best Florida Keys Fishing Boats we've still been producing great fish! There has been some sailfish around each day, mostly up shallow just inside the reef in 30 - 50' of water, but they've been very tricky to get to eat the hook baits. We've been sight fishing them, casting live baits at them when we come across them. Today the Kalex was patient and put in the time and managed to catch and release 7 islamorada sailfish! Great Job Guys! The Reel McCoy released 3 sailfish. The Bn'M released 1 sailfish, some cobia, kept a handful of king mackerel, and caught a whopper mutton snapper! The Pretty Work had a nice blackfin tuna and saw plenty of sailfish but unfortunately lost the couple bites they had. The Cloud Nine did a 1/2 day reef fishing trip and had 30 yellowtail snapper and a few cero mackerel, lots of action. Yesterday the Kalex was on the sails again and managed 4 releases, the Catch 22 released 2 sails, and the Bn'M released some cobias and kept one nice 25 lber, unfortunately we lost the couple sailfish bites we had. The Day before that the Reel McCoy got on the Sailfish early and released 5 sailfish, the Pretty Work released 4 sailfish, and the Relentless released 2 sailfish. Book your next Islamorada Offshore Fishing Trip soon for an enjoyable day on the water!
