The calm and warm weather is still holding but on Thanksgiving day it is supposed to get windy and cool down. This day I had Brad and Carson Averill from Colorada. Brad wanted flyrod action and 13 year old Carson just wanted as much action as he could get. I took them back to the spot where we were yesterday and we got the fish into a frenzy by chumming with chopped up pieces of pilchards. Brad caught red,gag grouper on fly and Spanish macks, mangrove snappers and ladyfish. And Carson caught the same on light spin tackle. Some really great light tackle action. This was in 7' of water in the gulf. Later we took advantage of slick calm conditions and headed out to one of the honey holes. Brad released a golath grouper of a least 125lbs and Carson caught big blacktip sharks until he cried uncle. A memorable day for these 2.
