6-1-13 Deep Sea Fishing in June off to a bang!
Well I can finally say the Deep Sea Fishing in Islamorada has been GREAT! The last couple of days all of the boats have got into plenty of Mahi. The boats have been averaging 15 - 25 fish. There has been some big schools of smaller fish (3-5 lb schoolies), and then quite a few pairs and of bigger fish (12 - 35 lbs). These have been full day offshore trips for the mahi. On the reef (where we focus fishing on 1/2 days this time of year) there has been plenty of action with yellowtail snapper , some vermillion snapper, and a few black grouper. There's also been a handful of permit caught and released. A lot of boats have been trolling while offshore and there's been a nice wahoo on the dock each of the last two days, so there's always a chance at something else while trolling. The Blackfin tuna still remain to be unseen in big numbers, but there's been a couple small footballs here and there. This has definitely been the best push of decent to big size mahi we have seen in years, so call now to book your chance at some big Bulls! 305-664-2461! The Catch 22 has been on a nice streak catching a daytime swordfish on each of his last three trips, including this nice 230 lber earlier in the week. I imagine the mahi bite should remain good, but I can't promise it will be as good as it's been lately.

Thank you Nick Stanczyk and mate Hank for a GREAT DAY of fishing!!! We had a blast catching all of the Dolphin and really enjoyed the day. If you ever have the opportunity to fish Islamorada I would definitely recommend Bud and Mary's and ask for the B & M! Thank you!!!
