AWESOME SWORDFISH BITE!!!

We put the gang together to get out swordfishing on Wednesday, November 17 and had one of the best swordfish trips we've ever experienced. We managed to catch 7 swordfish, keeping 4 and releasing 3. The biggest was 237 lbs and the smallest 15 lbs. If you want to get out the next couple of weeks should still be pretty good.

Offshore Report... Sailfish, Swordfish, and More!

Fishing has been pretty good on the Offshore side the past week. Most every boat fishing has been seeing and catching sailfish on the reef on recent trips. We caught 4 on November 11th while shooting a pilot for a possible tv show with host Capt. Ray Wyllins. We also swordfished one day and Bernie Childs caught his first swordfish and we missed a couple other bites. We've been catching a few kingfish, blackfin tuna, and dolphin as well while sailfishing on the reef. I also had the the pleasure of taking PELAGIC President Ron out and he couldn't resist messing with a nice old barracuda before coming in.

Sailfish are showing up!

We fished 2 newly weds today, Cody and Megan. We started off out the day by catching some king mackerel and a couple of mutton snapper, then each of them caught and released their first sailfish, and ended the day with about a dozen yellowtail snapper. Most all the other boats out from the dock today caught at least a couple of sailfish as well.

3 broadbills for Jon!

We fished Jon Patten from England on Tuesday and he managed to catch his first broadbill swordfish, 3 actually. We released the first two, one with a tag, and then on the last drop Jon caught a nice chunky 123 lber. Jon was about 15 feet away from catching a 4th sword but he shook lose near the boat. There should be some more swords on the backside of the full moon next week as well.

Great fishing for Sean and his son Joey 10-16/17

Sean Loscalzo and his son Joey were down from Coconut Creek for the weekend. They fished outback with Captain Jim Willcox on Saturday and caught a ton of fish. They had trout, snapper, grouper, jack, ladyfish, and even released a 150 lb Bull Shark. Then I took them out today, Sunday, in search of the mighty swordfish. On the 3rd drop Sean hooked into a nice sword. After an hour and twenty minutes he put the 187 lber on the deck. Great work guys!!!
